Stockist .....

As well as having our Folksy shop we have been trying to get our products into various retailers and galleries.

Since July this year our list has grown quite a bit. Firstly the lovely gallery and retailer Touched by Scotland in Oyne, Aberdeenshire took lots of our notelets, notebooks and 2014 calendars. Then in August we got orders from three local retailers - The Washington in Forres, Cloudhowe at Logie Steading and The Milk Parlour Findhorn. So we were delighted to supply our products for their great little shops.

Then an order came from a little further afield, The Fruitmarket Gallery in Edinburgh. They placed a big order (well for us!!) of calendars and notebooks. So they are now on sale in the bookshop. I remember when I lived in Edinburgh and being at uni studying Architecture I often dropped into the Fruitmarket for a wander and a browse in the bookshop (often leaving with a purchase!!)

Then just last week came a real surprise -  Waterstones sent us an emailing ordering 60 calendars for the new stationery store in Piccadilly London.

This all came about because we had gone into our local Waterstones in Inverness back in April to see if they would be interested in stocking our work and they were very keen. Then they spoke to the buyer in London and after a few months of persevering they asked to see samples. So we quickly sent them some examples of our work. But at that point they said they wouldn't be looking for new suppliers until 2014 so we had just put it to the back of our minds!!

So it was a great email to open last Monday!! We quickly started making the order up (by hand!! Just one man and  one woman!!) we dispatched 20 calendars on Thursday and 40 will go out in the post today. The shop opens today so we are over the moon to have stock on the shelves for that!!!!

It's really the best feeling when people like what you are doing and we just hope the orders keep coming......

Our First Post!!

I thought it was about time we should set up a blog page - everyone else seems to have one - even my Mum!! (check her blog and amazing work here)

So firstly to introduce ourselves - I am Emma and my husband is Brian and together we make up Printie James Design.  We are both very creative people and just love designing and making our range of cards and stationery.  We have two product lines - photography and illustrations all of which can be found on our Folksy shop. And I'll upload some images here so you can see a preview of what we love to do!! The first image is of our range of photographic notelets. These photos were taken at Hopeman, Morayshire.

We also have great little notebooks - they come in a pack of two with different bird illustrations and text.  Here they are....

And then there is our great 2014 calendars which come in funky brown bags and inside are 12 individual month cards and a wooden desktop easel to display them on.  And they look like this....

So thats a little introduction into who we are and what we do!!
